JESUS CHRIST IS ALL WE NEED.
John 11
22...But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
I believe that Martha had an intimate walk with Jesus to know this. She has seen the connection of Jesus with The Father, if not she wouldn't have boldly used the word "anything" in her sentence. She knows that anything, absolutely anything that Jesus asks, he shall have.
23....Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24....Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
I believe Martha has been studying the scriptures to know that all righteous shall be raised on the last day. She believe in the Word of God, and that her brother will surely be raised up. Now what she is seeking is for her brother to be alive again, not to wait till the last day. So the contrast is with verse 22, that Jesus can ask The Father to raise her brother up again. I believe in her heart was, " If Jesus asks The Father will raise her brother". Jesus perceived her mind and says
25...Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26...And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? this?
Jesus then gives the revelation, that she doesn't need to wait till the last day before she can see her brother alive again, but even now. Why ? Because He is the resurrection and the life. The resurrection himself is standing right there, the Life himself is standing right there. Hallelujah. He don't need to ask, he don't need to receive, but himself is. He is what Martha is looking for, but she still thinking of Jesus to ask The Father before she gets what she wants, but what she wants is before her, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is what we need, He is the embodiment of the power of God. All fullness dwells in Jesus, all, for it pleased The Father that all fullness should dwell in him (Col 1:19). God has put everything under Jesus (Hebrews 2:8), and not just that but has given him authority over all things ( Philipians 2:9-13).
The power of God manifests in the Life of God, and God has given us His Life.
1John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life.
You can't have eternal life if you don't have the power of God, The Dunamis. God enlighten us all in the knowledge of Christ Jesus, the unsearchable riches of Godhead.
